A circle with the center O has radius of 1 unit. There is also another circle with diameter AB.
Find the area of the shaded region.

    triangle ABO = 0.5*1*1 = 0.5
    area of sector AB = 0.285
    semicircle with diameter AB= ((sqrt(2))/2) ^2 * 3.14 *0.5= 0.785
    so that shaded area = 0.785 - 0.285 = 0.5
